LMD App Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026  ·  Applies to the dnata logistics LMD mobile application

dnata logistics LMD is a private workforce application for authorised delivery personnel of dnata logistics ("we", "us"). It is not intended for members of the public. The app exists to record a verified chain of custody for shipments – who collected a parcel, where it went, and who received it.

This notice supplements the dnata logistics Privacy Statement, and describes the additional data processed through this mobile application. Where the two differ in respect of the app, this notice applies.

1. Summary

  • We collect only what is needed to prove a delivery took place.
  • We do not use the app for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell data.
  • Location is captured only while you are using the app, attached to delivery actions. There is no background tracking.
  • Fingerprint and face data never leave your device and are never seen by us.

2. Who this policy covers

This policy describes data processed through the mobile app about its users – employees, drivers and collection-point staff who sign in.

The app also displays and records information about consignees (recipients), including name, delivery address, contact number and identity-verification details. That data is processed on behalf of dnata logistics as part of providing the logistics service, and is governed by our main Privacy Statement. Recipients do not use this app.

4. Biometrics and stored credentials

If you enable biometric unlock, your fingerprint or face is verified by your device's operating system. The app receives only a success or failure result. We never receive, transmit or store biometric data, and it cannot be extracted from the app.

To support biometric sign-in, your credentials are held in encrypted storage provided by your device's secure keystore, on the device only. They are removed when you sign out or disable the feature.

5. What we do not do

  • No advertising, ad identifiers, or ad networks.
  • No sale or rental of personal data.
  • No tracking of your location outside the app.
  • No access to your contacts, messages, call logs, or unrelated files.
  • No use of your data to build commercial profiles.

6. Service providers

The app relies on the following third parties, which process limited data on our instructions:

  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging – delivers push notifications about newly assigned deliveries. Receives a device push token.
  • Google Maps Platform – map display and route optimisation. Receives delivery and current coordinates to calculate routes.

Delivery records are transmitted to our own servers operated by dnata logistics. We do not disclose data to any other party except where required by law, or to protect against fraud, theft or loss of high-value shipments.

7. How data is protected

  • All communication uses encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted to our own servers.
  • Access requires an individual account; shared logins are not permitted.
  • Two-step verification is mandatory for every user.
  • Access is limited to the deliveries assigned to you and to authorised personnel.

8. Data retention

Delivery records, proof photos and signatures are retained for 7 years, in line with the retention period in the dnata logistics Privacy Statement, to meet operational, insurance, customs and legal obligations relating to the carriage of valuable goods. Records held on the device itself are cleared when you sign out or uninstall the app.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, object to certain processing, or lodge a complaint with the competent authority.

Some data cannot be erased on request where it forms part of a legally required delivery record. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

10. Children

The app is a workplace tool for adults in employment. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The revision date at the top will be updated, and material changes will be communicated through the app or by your employer.
